Hacking group IntelBroker claims that it has breached AMD website. According to unconfirmed reports, the cybercriminal organisation has posted confidential information on future AMD products and employee details on a data selling forum.

Details of alleged AMD website hacking
The threat actor also shared screenshots of some of the ‘stolen’ AMD credentials, which are said to be up for sale.

“Today, I’m selling the AMD.com data breach. Thanks for reading and enjoy!,” the threat actor says in a post on the hacking forum.

“In June 2024, AMD, a large computing company suffered a data breach. Compromised data: Future AMD products, Spec sheets, employee databases, customer databases, property files, ROMs, source code, firmware and finances,” the hacking group said.

The DarkWebInformer says that the compromised data includes an employee database that contains user IDs, first and last names, job functions, business phone numbers, email addresses, and employment status.


What AMD has to say
AMD said that it is investigating whether it suffered a cyberattack.

“We are aware of a cybercriminal organisation claiming to be in possession of stolen AMD data,” AMD told BleepingComputer in a statement.

“We are working closely with law enforcement officials and a third-party hosting partner to investigate the claim and the significance of the data,” it added

IntelBroker is known for the breach of DC Health Link in which it exposed the personal data of US House of Representatives members and staff.

IntelBroker has also attempted to sell data allegedly stolen from Europol and The Home Depot. In 2022, AMD said it was investigating claims that the hacking group RansomHouse stole 450GB of data.
